What is a performance peel?
These are physician grade peels that are used under our Medical Director's supervision as part of our age-defying suite of skin care treatments. These peels are only found in doctor's offices and not available in salons or day-spas.

What is a performance peel like?
After cleaning and prepping the skin the esthetician thoroughly analyzes your skin condition. Your clinical professional will apply the peeling agents, then apply the topical serums that have been selected for you. The esthetician will then use our sonophoresis device that will drive the serums deep into the skin. We finish with an application of a recovery cream and sun protection.

Is it painful?
You’ll experience minimal discomfort, though tingling is common. No anesthesia is necessary.

Do I need recovery time?
Like all our non-invasive procedures at Renu Age-Defying Laserspa, most of our performance peels have no downtime. Some of our deeper peels may require downtime, and your esthetician will work with you to optimize your desired results. Afterwards you might notice a slight flushing, like after exercising, for a few hours. Tingling is common for a day or two. Flaking can occur for a few days and is best managed with our Renu Age-Defying Laserspa Rx moisturizers.

Are there side effects?
Side effects are rare. Some clients may experience tingling, mild redness or slight swelling . It is critical to use Bio-Active Cosmeceuticals to get the most value out of your performance peel treatment. An anti-oxidant enriched sunscreen is used at the conclusion of your treatment and is essential to use afterwards since the exfoliated skin has temporarily lost some of it’s natural protection from the environment. Avoid sun exposure and tanning.

When will I start to see results?
In just a few days you’ll notice brighter skin tone and smoother texture. Hyperpigmentation, acne scars, fine lines, will lessen gradually with a series of performance peels.

How long do the effects last?
